In November 2005 it was observed that Sichuan Airlines Group would make in investments to gain 40 % stake in the Kunming airlines that will in future operate passengers as well as cargo services. The pilots will be provided by the Sichuan airlines and the private investors would invest in balance 40 % and 20 % shares. In December the CAAC said that it will soon approve the plans of the airlines which has a registered capital of RMB80 million, and which has a registered planning to have its base in Kunming Wujiaba International Airport. In January 2009 the airlines are owned 80% by the Shenzhen Airlines and the balance 20 % in owned by the local businessmen. The new airlines are soon going to have new aircrafts and experienced staff including flight attendants and pilots.
