1. Downtown Denton Courthouse Square
The greatest place to begin your Denton Daycation is in downtown Denton Square, which is home to one of the state's most stunning historic courthouses, as well as an amazing museum. The Courthouse Museum has a lot of local history, as well as rotating displays and special collections. Its mural on the outside is one of thousands that can be found throughout town. Barley & Board, a very quirky cocktail gastropub, and local favourite Wine Squared are both only across the street.
3. Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream
If you're on the Denton Square and don't stop in to enjoy Beth Marie's homemade deliciousness, you may want to reconsider your living choices. This neighbourhood landmark has over 120 ice cream varieties that cycle periodically in its retro-soda shop, and I can personally attest that picking a single favourite flavour is nearly impossible. Even better, you can complete your nostalgia trifecta by visiting Atomic Candy and our friendly neighbourhood More Fun Comics & Games, which are both just down the street. For video game fans, there's also a Freeplay Arcade and Game Changers nearby!
